In Autumn 2013, we ran focus groups that gave our partners the opportunity to help shape the Welsh Governments fly-tipping strategy for 2014 and beyond. These focus groups identified four key issues around enforcement, waste provision, community engagement and fly-tipping on private land.
The actions from these groups, together with our ongoing intelligence-sharing, community and GPS projects, will form a large part of our work at Fly-tipping Action Wales in 2014/15.
The fly-tipping strategy has now been published as a draft recommendation and is open to public consultation via the Welsh Governments website. The strategy focuses on the group outcomes of the forums and signifies a major change in the way we will tackle fly-tipping in Wales.
